LANDLORDTOTHESTARS - 18:30 Wolverhampton
LANDLORDTOTHESTARS gained a first success since January 2024 when beating the re-opposing Straight A over C&D in November and can follow-up. He had shown little in two starts prior to that but returned to something like his best and this consistent performer on artificial surfaces (15-4-3-1) remains feasibly treated from only 1lb higher.

TORTURED SOUL - 20:30 Southwell (NAP)
TORTURED SOUL still had six rivals in front of him and plenty of ground to make up when turning into the straight at Lingfield last month, but he produced a strong finish to lead close home, doing well to peg back one who had stolen a march. That victory was achieved over a mile and a quarter but Tortured Soul's previous wins all came over further and his strength at the finish suggests he'll benefit from stepping back up in trip here. He also remains fairly treated, despite edging up 3 lb in the weights, as he is still 1 lb lower than when successful at Lingfield last January.
VIRTUE PATIENCE - 13:10 Lingfield
VIRTUE PATIENCE ran creditably when beaten only three lengths in fifth over this course and distance last month, particularly as he was entitled to need the run on his first start for more than 14 weeks. The handicapper has eased him 2 lb and he looks well treated based on the form he showed when only narrowly denied off a 5 lb higher mark on his handicap debut at Kempton in May. He'd won a seven-furlong maiden at this venue prior to that and his record on the all-weather is largely positive.
THREE PIKES - 14:05 Wincanton
Bumper winner THREE PIKES has shown encouragement and finished placed on all three starts over hurdles, but he looks likely to benefit from the sharper test on offer at Wincanton and is expected to improve on his handicap debut. He shaped like a non-stayer when beaten around 12 lengths in third over two and a half miles at Uttoxeter last time, so it's little surprise that he drops in trip here. He can prove better than an opening BHA mark of 105 under these speed-favouring conditions.
HOT FUSS - 15:35 Sandown
HOT FUSS looked rusty when finishing in mid-division in the November Handicap on his reappearance and was still probably shaking off a few cobwebs when only sixth in the Gerry Feilden back over hurdles a few weeks later. However, he ran well at a big price when runner-up to Wilful in a valuable handicap hurdle at Ascot before Christmas, seeing things out thoroughly having been outpaced turning for home. It's also worth noting that Hot Fuss had shaped nicely when fourth in the Fred Winter at the Cheltenham Festival last season, and he looks capable of taking advantage of a drop in grade on Saturday.
