BLUE LAKOTA - 19:30 Newcastle
There isn't a huge amount of early pace on in this five-furlong sprint handicap and BLUE LAKOTA is likely to be handy enough through the first couple of furlongs. A course and distance scorer in November and then again over six furlongs here in January, Kevin Ryan's charge has held his form well since and his latest close third has been well advertised, with the winner and runner-up both scoring since. Blue Lakota can run off the same mark and will appreciate a return to the minimum trip on recent evidence.

HOLETOWN - 16:07 Newbury (NAP)
HOLETOWN cosily opener her account for Venetia Williams at Ludlow last month and the French recruit could still be some way ahead of the handicapper despite being hit with a 6lb rise for beating Georgi Girl a length and a quarter that day. She has some classy form from her time across the Channel and Williams has obviously hit a decent bit of form now having struggled for winners much of the season. Holetown is still only six so should still be on the improve and she'll cope with the ground despite potentially wanting it softer to be seen at her very best.
THIS FARH - 15:12 Lingfield
THIS FARH had a fine record at Lingfield (211) prior to a disappointing effort here in January but he clearly wasn't himself that day and the vet reported he lost a shoe in the run so it could be one to excuse. Last month's Chelmsford effort was a bit better but he's been dropped a couple of pounds in the weights, meaning he can run in this 0-70 handicap which will be more his bag. It's one of the easiest races he's run in for a while now and the return of cheekpieces (blinkered for the first time latest) could spark something as he won in first-time cheekpieces last May.
ABBEY SCOPE - 15:55 Musselburgh
A competitive contest at Musselburgh can go the way of Timeform top-rated ABBEY SCOPE, who seems likely to put it all together in the jumping department before long and could prove to be very well-treated when doing so. He won a Kelso bumper on his debut last spring and has shown potential in every hurdles outing this term, not least when second on his first go in a handicap at Catterick when last seen. He's fresh from a short break and looks to have bags of scope for in-form trainer Nicky Richards.
ONE COOL DREAMER - 17:30 Wolverhampton
ONE COOL DREAMER almost capitalised on a sliding mark when beaten a neck over a mile and three-quarters at Wolverhampton last month and while he's edged back up a couple of pounds in the ratings as a consequence, the drop back to a mile and a half should suit on that evidence (only headed in the dying strides). The five-year-old's two previous wins actually came over 10 furlongs so the trip is no concern and Rossa Ryan, who keeps the mount, should be able to position the horse where he wants him early on from stall five.
