Day two of the Cheltenham Festival will take place as planned this afternoon.
Officials had called a precautionary 8am inspection, and announced a contingency to postpone Wednesday's card until Saturday, as a forecast for high winds threatened the Festival.
The course were braced for "challenging" weather conditions, with winds predicted to reach a peak of around 40 miles per hour on Wednesday morning.
However clerk of the course Simon Claisse said at 0610: "We're delighted weather conditions have changed from the initial forecasts and the prospect of higher wind speeds and gusts have receded. We're looking forward to a fantastic day's racing."
The feature race is the Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase in which Altior bids to match Big Buck's record of 18 successive jumps wins.
