Peterborough Chase preview: God's Own heads for Huntingdon

God's Own will try to defy his advancing years and register a big-race double as he leads the way in Sunday's Tattersalls Ireland Edredon Bleu Chase at Huntingdon.

Tom George's runner will officially be 11 next month, but he shows no signs of slowing down in his veteran years having won the Haldon Gold Cup at Exeter on his seasonal bow last month.

He must shoulder a 6lb penalty for that success, but George expects the Huntingdon ground will suit.

He said: "He's in great form at home - you certainly wouldn't know he's the age he is.

"We would have looked to have a crack at the Tingle Creek if the ground was right, but it looks like it's going to be softer at Sandown than at Huntingdon and that's why we're coming here.

"We're very happy with him."

God's Own is not the only Grade One winner in the line-up, with dual top-level scorer Tea For Two making his first start for Jane Williams after a wind operation.

Nicky Henderson fields 2016 winner Josses Hill, while Paul Nicholls' duo of Art Mauresque and San Benedeto are others to note, along with Kim Bailey's Charbel.
