Gallops Report from Richard Hannon's Lambourn base


WAHASH has frustrated his followers with a couple of near misses, but Richard Hannon's colt looked as smooth as silk in his final work for the big sprnt at York tomorrow.

The grey son of Dark Angel impressed in that midweek exercise and floated over the ground when breezing this morning.

OH THIS IS US misses York to wait for the Queen Anne Stakes and he was in good form in midweek, stepping lively ahead of next Tuesday's Royal Ascot opener.

The four-year-old had no luck in running in the Diomed Stakes at Epsom in which his eventual third placing doesn't accurately reflect his performance.

BARNEY ROY looks the chief threat to Churchill in the St James's Palace Stakes and has a confident gait about him.

His connections are adamant he would have given Churchill plenty to think about had he not got involved in some tightening up at the bushes, just when his rival was getting clear against the rail.

JUNE DOG has gone forward since opening his account at Leicester and the son of Helmet looked focused and alert in some speed work ahead of the Windsor Castle Stakes.
