A review of the action from Ascot on Saturday as Fidux won for Alan King while Wenyerreadyfreddie slammed his rivals by 18 lengths.
Alan King's Fidux may have taken time to get to grips with the hurdling game but he's making up for it now following a tremendous success in the Listed Bet with Ascot Handicap Hurdle at Ascot on Saturday.
The five-year-old went on a losing run of 12 over timber until the start of this season when he ran out a well-backed winner at Southwell last month.
That victory must've given him confidence as he backed it up in fine style under Wayne Hutchinson at Ascot, running away from a good field to win by eight lengths from Global Citizen.
Up 5lb for his latest win, a sterner hike awaits after this.

Traffic Fluide got up late to deny Art Mauresque in the Sodexo Gold Cup for Joshua and Gary Moore.
The eight-year-old was rated 160 a couple of years ago and he looked right back to his old self when running second to The Young Master at Chepstow last month.
Running here off 149, he was a well-supported 4/1 chance and he jumped and travelled well on the inside throughout, while he responded well to pressure to get on top of Art Mauresque in the run for the line.
Go Conquer, on his stable debut for Nigel Twiston-Davies, put in a game effort from the front in his bid to win this race for a second successive year, but had to settle for third in the end.

Wenyerreadyfreddie was a deeply impressive winner of the Ascot Underwriting Chase on Saturday for Nicky Henderson and Jeremiah McGrath.
Jumps racing returned to Ascot for the first time this season and Henderson’s seven-year-old made a mockery of a handicap mark of 130, winning by 18 lengths.
This was his third chase start and first in novice handicap company this season, his run last month at Uttoxeter coming in a beginners’ chase won by Lil Rockerfeller.
That rival had subsequently won at Cheltenham and the home of jumps racing could well beckon for Wenyerreadyfreddie at some point his season on the back of this performance.

In the following Byrne Group Handicap Chase there was early drama as hot odds-on favourite Shantou Rock slithered on landing at the first, after which he was pulled up.
That left Vosne Romanee to pick up the pieces under Sam Twiston-Davies, the Dr Richard Newland-trained seven-year-old getting the better of Champagne At Tara on the run-in.
There was a sad postscript to the race as it emerged that Dan Skelton's Shantou Rock had lost his life.
The whole team are totally gutted to have lost Shantou Rock this afternoon. A horse with such a bright future, our thoughts are with the Pink family who adored him, Saul who looked after him & Georgia who rode him every day. Sleep tight lad 😔 pic.twitter.com/w61GLj1wSu
