Plans are on hold for Fair Eva after she produced a dirty scope following her seasonal return in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket.
After having signed off last season finishing second in the Rockfel Stakes at Newmarket, the daughter of Frankel claimed fifth spot on her first try over a mile in the fillies' Classic.
Charlton said: "She was scoped after the race and the vet reported an abnormal amount of dirt in her trachea, which in his opinion affected her performance.
"Whether that was by half a length or three lengths, we will never know. I don't think the trip was an issue.
"It wasn't as if the ground was soft and there was a lot of kick-back, but it was bad luck inhaling what hit her on the nose."
"There are no plans for Fair Eva at the moment. We have just got to sit down and decide where to go next."
Fair Eva currently holds an entry in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot after she was taken out of the reckoning for the Irish 1,000 Guineas this weekend.
