Ed Chamberlin has two 16/1 fancies on the opening day of Royal Ascot - check out his preview.
Nap: YOSHIDA 2.30 Royal Ascot
Sky Bet are offering money back as a free bet if second or third in the Queen Anne and the American raider is a horse I want on my side each-way in this one. I just think the older British and Irish milers aren't up to much - look how tight it was in the Lockinge at Newbury - and this race could be ripe for an upset.
Step forward Yoshida who represents a trainer in Bill Mott who knows when he has a good horse on his hands. The four-year-old has won his last two starts at Belmont and Churchill Downs. He'll bounce off the ground and looks too big here at 16/1.
Next best: Autocratic 5.35 Royal Ascot
My other fancy on day one is another at a big price - Autocratic in the closing Wolferton Stakes. He's very useful on his day, winning last season's Brigadier Gerard Stakes, and took a step back in the right direction when second at Goodwood last time.
Sir Michael Stoute could be set for a historic week as he needs one winner to break Sir Henry Cecil's record and become the most successful trainer in the history of Royal Ascot. He also runs Mirage Dancer here who is a shorter price but on value grounds I prefer Autocratic who looks to be back on song.
