Jockey Hollie Doyle on the mend after Haydock fall

Jockey Hollie Doyle appears to have escaped serious injury after a fall at Haydock on Saturday evening.

Doyle was riding Snoop in a 10-furlong handicap for David Loughnane when her mount took a false step and unseated her at halfway.

Her agent Guy Jewell said: "She's battered and bruised. Her arm is swollen and her lip was split but that has been sorted.

"They are checking her arm again but hopefully she will be home today.

"So, she's battered and bruised but on the mend."
