Check out the latest instalment of 'Dom Does...' as our intrepid reporter samples what it's like to sit on a racehorse in Britain's world-famous racing headquarters - Newmarket.
Earlier in the year our man Dom Newton headed off to the British Racing School with former jockey and Union J member JJ Hamblett for a harsh lesson on the demands of race-riding.
He emerged a changed man forever and while the incredible fitness levels required to become a professional race rider were clearly a shock to the system, Dom was not deterred and fancied a taste of the real thing.
With the blessing of fledgling Newmarket trainer Hilal Kobeissi and his patient and understanding stable staff, more than a touch of hands-on assistance from former rider JJ Hamblett, and a swift video call to Champion Jockey Oisin Murphy, all was in place.
