Ben Linfoot heads to Leicester for the Sporting Life Daily Nap on Thursday with a Godolphin nursery runner catching the eye.
Sporting Life Daily Nap, July 18
Saeed bin Suroor has a superb record at Leicester, an excellent record with Hector Crouch and a brilliant record with nursery runners in the month of July.
All three of those factors combine when MAKING HISTORY runs in the Cold Overton Nursery Handicap at Leicester (2.20) on Thursday.
Bin Suroor's Leicester strike-rate is 34 per cent, his strike-rate with Crouch is 25 per cent and his strike-rate with nursery runners in July is 56 per cent, and while the latter stat is only from a sample of five winners from nine representatives, it looks significant that Making History is qualified for a nursery at this time of year.
Indeed, he was qualified 45 days ago on June 3, his third run the best of his fledgling career, the step up to six furlongs at Windsor earning him a third-place finish on the back of two lesser efforts.
A little break and another step up in trip to seven furlongs looks ideal, and off a mark of 74 he's taken to land a handicap at the first time of asking.
