David Ord fancies Evan Williams to strike at Chepstow on Thursday afternoon - don't miss the latest Sporting Life Daily Nap!
Sporting Life Daily Nap, March 21
I'll level with you, finding a Thursday nap didn't prove the easiest of tasks, but eventually Treasure Dillon emerged in the Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Novices' Handicap Hurdle at Chepstow.
The negatives are the welter-burden of 12st 1lb (Mitchell Bastyan's five-pounds claim helping on that front), and the fact he hasn't got his head in front in six previous attempts under rules (did win a point-to-point).
But this isn't a deep race and a reproduction of his effort at Sedgefield last time will probably suffice form an unchanged mark. He eventually finished second to Mah Mate Bob, beaten a length-and-a-quarter, in first-time cheekpieces which are retained.
He'd have finished closer but for a mistake two out and was suited by the drop back to a two-and-a-half miles and more forceful tactics.
It was also Bastyan's first ride on him and with other front-runners thin on the ground, the pair must go close.
