Easter Classic target for Absolute Blast

Absolute Blast is being aimed at the Betway Easter Classic after her fine run in the Winter Derby on Saturday.

Having her first outing for Archie Watson since leaving Iain Jardine, the five-year-old was only reeled in close home by Convey before finishing third.

She will be an extra 2lb better off on April 14, giving connections hope she can turn the tables.

"Absolute Blast has come out of the Winter Derby very well," said Watson.

"I am sure we will probably end up back at Lingfield in the Easter Classic on Finals Day.

"She will better off at the weights on Good Friday, as she will be getting a couple of pounds from the colts, so you wouldn't mind taking them on again."
