THE ATTORNEY looks to have a good opportunity to open his account if steering a straight line. He was leading at Lingfield last time when running wide at the final bend but still managed to finish third. Today’s opposition look nothing out of the ordinary with both Spirit Level and K Rex finishing down the field in the same race at Wolverhampton and Medway going backwards at Kempton last time. Cordarosa is related to three winners and wouldn’t need to be anything special to figure.

A couple of these showed enough on their respective debuts to suggest they can win at this level. MELODY OF LIFE, a full-brother to Group 2 winner Happy Power, stayed on well for third over 7f at Kempton and is just preferred to Puy Mary. The latter also steps up in trip after placing at Lingfield and makes more appeal than stablemate George Bancroft but Serena's Queen and Who Cares Wins made only moderate debut efforts. Olympe De Gouges is preferred to New Dynasty of the newcomers.

Eyes and Free Dancer have raced over today’s trip without threatening but Swinton Noon’s recent success came over a mile at Southwell. Kayfast Warrior and DIAMOND AND GOLD should both stay this extra distance on breeding but the latter is expected to show further progress on only her second outing for Archie Watson’s yard and she gets a speculative vote. Pocketeer and Real Dude make their handicap debuts and are others to keep an eye on.

John Gosden runs three with Louis Armstrong preferred to both Stiletto and the newcomer Law Of The Sea. But the former has three lengths to find on running at Newcastle with KONDO ISAMI, who finished third on that occasion and should be bang there at the finish once again. The latter also makes more appeal than both Beautiful Crown and Strictly Spicy but Charlie Appleby runs a couple of Dubawi newcomers in Tamborrada and Vasilakos and that pair should be monitored in the betting.

The Trader has won just once since 2018 and that was over 1m4f but Sha La La La Lee went close over a similar trip to this at Wolverhampton last time. Global Art won over track and trip back in September and is reunited with winning partner Ryan Moore while Fox Premier has undergone a wind operation having disappointed in both earlier outings this year. A winner in Ireland, Centroid debuts for new connections while OSLO appeared to find 1m4f too far at Wolverhampton last time. But Mick Appleby’s charge had been threatening a return to winning ways over today’s distance before that and gets another chance.

Red Verdon returns to handicap company for this. He won a Listed race over today’s trip at Doncaster during the summer when King's Advice was second though the latter re-opposes on better terms today. Hasanabad finished well behind the above pair at Doncaster though has won over hurdles subsequently and Timoshenko has also scored over timber this year. Nate The Great has slipped down the weights but hasn’t raced since June and the unexposed KINGSWEAR (NAP) looks the one to side with. He returned to action with a third over 1m4f at Kempton and the half-brother to three smart stayers including Dartmouth should relish this longer trip.

Sir Maximilian won over track and trip in September and is only 2lb higher while Juan Les Pins won over 6f at Kempton more recently and Split Down South scored over 6f here just last week for which he is penalised. Asad makes his handicap debut for new connections having been gelded and undergoing wind surgery since last in action but novice winner ALEXEJ is expected to improve now handicapping and the Gosden colt gets the vote to come out best.

A couple of these bid for hat-tricks though Dawaaleeb is upped in class on the back of a double at Newcastle. But AYR HARBOUR won a higher grade contest over course and distance last time and should go very close again raised only 2lb. Markazi was beaten only a head at Lingfield last week but is another facing a tougher task today while Assimilation was beaten less than a length in a tight finish at Wolverhampton and makes more appeal than Firmament.

James Park Woods was thereabouts on the Turf in October while Casina Di Notte finished a close-up fourth at Wolverhampton recently though had earlier finished behind Accomplice at Lingfield. Azets has a shout on a second at Kempton last time while Casaruan looks high enough in the weights now but POETRY AND ART has plenty of scope. The latter is fitted with a tongue-tie after finding one too good at Southwell and there should be more to come from the William Haggas-trained filly now handicapping.
