3.20 CARTMEL PREVIEW

Some may consider it brave, some may consider it stupid but I think today is the day to back GO WEST YOUNG MAN.

He's a notoriously mulish character but I think everything is right for him to land his second career win.

He's been consistent in his recent starts without winning. I feel today is the weakest race he has encountered for a while and with the added fact that it is being run at Cartmel is an added bonus. I'm hoping the track's idiosyncrasies keeps the horse interested.

Golden Investment has been very disappointing on his last two starts and could have a contested lead from the likes of Munsaab.

Box Office ran a solid race last time and is feared, but the cards could be about to fall right for Go West Young Man.

4.05 HAYDOCK PREVIEW

COTAI GLORY looks like he will be campaigned in a similar fashion to last year.

He caught the eye last time out when missing the kick and not finding his stride until hitting the hill at Newmarket.

There's plenty of pace on here and the race could work out in his favour. At 10/1, it's worth a bet to find out.

2.45 CARTMEL PREVIEW

KING MURO comes back over hurdles today, off a fair mark and may have needed his first run after a break last time out in Ireland when a 33/1 shot in a novice chase.

He is overpriced at 14/1 on a track he could really enjoying whizzing around.

4.30 CARTMEL PREVIEW

DURSEY SOUND looked menacing for much of the race last time at Hexham but didn't seem to see out the trip.

The winner of that race has gone on to win since and today Dursey Sound takes a drop back in distance which he should appreciate.

He is handicapped to win and he should go well.

6.30 FFOS LAS PREVIEW

Looks Like Power's last four runs at Ffos Las read second, third, first, first. He should run his run his race once again.

Gone Platinum has been performing in point-to-points recently and is from a yard that does well at the course and he too is respected.

A horse who I have warmed to in his last couple of starts is STEALING MIX and he gets the vote.

At Wincanton two starts ago he gave heavy odds-on backers a fright when he ran Dreamcatching very close, only beaten by half a length. Next time out it is hard to assess what he beat but he won in a comfortable manner and the third has gone in since.

He still seems a bit of a baby and runs around a tad in his races which I quite like as I can see him continuing to improve. A scopey type, I think he will take well to fences and if getting into a rhythm out in front he could prove hard to pass.
