Breaking It Down: Murt Khan backs Not Never to strike

Breaking It Down: 1925 Huntingdon - Not Never

Wind the clock back to 2015 and NOT NEVER looked like he had every chance of making up into a Group horse having romped home in a handicap at Chester off a mark of 81 for Hugo Palmer.

His only bad run that year was in October when he finished 11th of 14.

Presumably he had some kind of issue and didn't reappear on a racecourse until September 2016.  He held his form well during the autumn until changing hands from Palmer to Gary Moore for 70,000 guineas.

He made his hurdles debut at Plumpton and showed a reasonable aptitude before weakening late, on very soft ground.

It seemed like handicapping was going to be the way forward having had three quick starts in February on winter ground.

He runs today on decent ground off a lowly mark of 102 at Huntingdon. In the past he has shown he goes well after a break and in a very mediocre race looks worth a proper bet at 13/8.

Looking Back - PERTH 2.35 - Mr Mole, 5th

Mr Mole showed for a up for a mile and weakened rapidly.  The only time he will be of interest if there is serious market support for him.  Pain Au Chocolat bounced back to form for his new yard and won well, getting the better of Duke of Navan.
