7.50 Bangor preview

This extended 2m1f novices' chase lacks a bit of depth and it may be best to side with the unexposed RALEAGH MOUNTAIN.

It's no secret now as regards Dan Skelton's exploits this summer and even with a week's break from National Hunt racing I expect the yard will continue in a similar vein.

Crucially, Raleagh Mountin makes his debut for the yard since leaving Colin McBratney's.

Over the past year the gelding has been applying his trade in the point-to-points - without much success if truth be told. Prior to this he had at least shown glimpses of form over hurdles and, only six, one would be hopeful there is plenty more to come - especially now he has joined Skelton's firing operation.

He has multiple entries coming up and it could be another case of a new inmate of Skelton's racking up a sequence.

CONTEUR D'HISTOIRE also seems overpriced having dropped down in the weights and runs over a trip that may be more suitable today.

He's also worth backing in a race where few make genuine appeal.
