6.30 Sedgefield preview

This handicap chase is full of in-and-out performers.

Oliver's Hill managed to win three times during the winter and ran some fair races in defeat. It looked like he struggled to see the trip out last time after a mini break, running better than the bare result. These are his ideal conditions and he is creeping down to a winnable mark. However, I still he has a bit to prove today.

Muwalla has held his form well and likes this track. I thought his recent exertions may start to take their toll last time but he still ran a solid race. Once more, I'm wary of what's been a busy campaign but he's in form and has his conditions which counts for plenty.

There was some early morning money for HIGHBURY HIGH on his last start which in hindsight looks significant and he's the one they all have to beat.

Although failing to land the gamble he ran a huge race, just succumbing to a well-handicapped horse and finishing 17 lengths clear of the third.

His only disappointing run of late came after a six-month break at Fontwell in June, which is easy to forgive. He ran reasonably well next time in a slowly-run race then produced arguably a career best with the money down at Southwell last time out.

Still off a mark of 110 (due to go up 6lb in future) on a track I think he will enjoy, the price looks fair in a race where most have huge question marks beside their name.
