I'm finding it hard to make sense of Romeo Is Bleeding's victory last time out. The Geegeez GeeGee ran well below form that day as did Thady Quill, this left Romeo Is Bleeding and Aregra to battle it out. The 11-year-old broke his maiden tag that year and has gone up 5lb for the victory.

On the other hand I feel Sage Monkey's recent form has a more solid look to it. He was beaten by an improving type in Bestwork three starts back, he had a lot of ground to make up that day and did well to finish second. Next time out he disappointed but followed that run with a nice win, beating a new inmate of Dan Skelton's.

A horse for me who looks a tad overpriced and could pop up today is TOE TO TOE. He's had two starts for Debra Hamer since leaving the yard of Kerry Lee and has run respectably on both occasions.

He's a horse who gets further and the form of his start two runs back reads pretty well in the context of this race.

The likelihood is this may prove too sharp for him, but he has a decent travelling speed and if there is some pace on early he could be a horse with a bit more fuel in the tank than many of his opposition come the business end of the race.
