Last year's King's Stand Stakes victor has not raced since finishing third to Alpha Delphini in the Nunthorpe Stakes at York in August.
But Appleby reports the Godolphin-owned five-year-old ready for his Group Two return in Dubai on Thursday as he prepares for the Al Quoz Sprint there on March 30.
"Blue Point is coming back from a bit of a lay-off, having not run since August, but I have been pleased with his preparation," Appleby told www.godolphin.com.
"He has done well from four to five, and looks the finished article now.
"Our main aim has always been the Group One Al Quoz Sprint on Dubai World Cup Night, and therefore there should be some marked improvement on whatever he does this week.
"He is not coming up against a horse of the calibre of Ertijaal this time (as when second on his sole previous Meydan appearance in this race last year), and should still be the one to beat."
Appleby is expecting a decent run from his other runner Roussel, who shaped well on his return from a 133-day break when a close fifth to Dream Ahead over six furlongs last month.
"Roussel finished second in the Windsor Castle Stakes as a two-year-old and showed some good natural speed on his latest outing, when he wasn't beaten by far," he said.
"We felt that this was a nice opportunity for him to tackle a decent sprint, and possibly get placed in a Group contest."
Poetic Charm represents Appleby in the Balanchine after an impressive victory in the Cape Verdi four weeks ago.
"We were delighted with Poetic Charm's victory in the Cape Verdi," he said.
"The step up to nine furlongs is a slight question mark, but we were very pleased with the way she galloped out last time - and she is coming up against the same group of fillies.
"If she stays the trip, she should take all the beating again."
The Saeed bin Suroor-trained Asoof, who gave Godolphin a one-two in the Cape Verdi, renews rivalry with Poetic Charm.
"Asoof ran well to finish second last time. This is another tough race - but this trip should suit her, and she has been going well at home," said bin Suroor.
Mia Tesoro was last of seven in the Cape Verdi, but her trainer Charlie Fellowes is hoping Mia Tesoro will be seen in a much better light this time.
The Newmarket handler said: "She's good. She was disappointing first time out. They put a bit of water down, and she likes it rattling quick.
"I'm hoping they don't do the same tonight.
"She's got a much better draw. The step up to nine furlongs will suit her. I've taken the hood off to sharpen her up, and we'll ride her more aggressively.
"If we can finish in the first three, we can put that run behind us. If she turns up in her best form she'll be in the first three. I hope conditions will suit her better."
