Trainer Charlie Hills would embrace the opportunity of running Battaash back over six furlongs.
The four-year-old gelding has few peers over five furlongs, and illustrated the point with a tight victory in the Temple Stakes at Haydock on Saturday.
That was Battaash's first start since last October - he also underwent wind surgery a month later - and his trainer is convinced there is more to come this summer.
Next up is the King's Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot, after which he could be in line for absorbing duel with Harry Angel in the six-furlong July Cup at Newmarket.
Hills told Racing UK's Luck on Sunday programme: "We'll have to go to the King's Stand now. And if it that goes well, I'd love to have a crack at the July Cup.
"I think that track should suit him - you need to have speed to come down that hill there - and it will be great for the sport to have a clash with Harry Angel."
