Ayr are inspecting at 13:45 BST after a deluge of rain on Saturday morning left standing water on the track.
Just after 10am they had 8.5mm in an hour with the ground changed to heavy ahead of Scotland's biggest race day on the Flat.
With standing water at the half-furlong marker officials have had to call a snap inspection with the afternoon's action in the balance.,
A 12:20 inspection took place after which it was decided to check again at 13:45 on the proviso that the first race will go off at 14:30, if it gets the green light, with the whole card pushed back by an hour.
If Ayr gets the go ahead after the 13:45 inspection there is a revised schedule of:
