World Athletics Championships 2019: Day-by-day event schedule and results from Doha

The World Athletics Championships are under way in Doha (September 27 to October 6) and you can follow the action with our day-by-day timetable and medal results.

Just a year away from the Tokyo Olympics, the stars of track and field are hoping to shine on the world stage in Doha.

Spearheading Britain's 72-strong team is of course sprint sensation Dina Asher-Smith, who will be highly fancied to become the nation's first female 100m or 200m world champion as she goes for glory in both.

Laura Muir and heptathlete Katarina Johnson-Thompson are Team GB's two other main challengers for individual medals in the 1500m and heptathlon respectively while the relays for both men and women are always source for hope.
