The World Indoor Championships, Commonwealth Games and Europeans are all looming, with Mitchell-Blake concentrating on future challenges after an unforgettable year during which he anchored Great Britain's 4x100m relay team to world gold in London just four months ago.
The 23-year-old will be back in front of a British crowd when he contests the Muller Indoor Grand Prix 60m at Glasgow's Emirates Arena on February 25 - and it could prove the launchpad for another memorable season.
"This is my first full year as a professional athlete," said Mitchell-Blake, who also finished fourth in the World Championships 200m final this summer.
"It's a profession now, it's my job. You have to make hay while the sun shines, and I am going to make the most of it while I have this opportunity to do what I love for a living.
"All the pressure I have is internalised. I am my harshest critic. I expect more from myself than probably anyone else out there.
"I want medals - that is how we are judged in this sport. I want to be the best, I am not in it to be a lane-filler.
"I want medals, and I feel that is what you are judged by and I feel that is what I am capable of doing."
Mitchell-Blake will line up alongside some of the world's top sprinters in Glasgow, an event which comes a week before Birmingham hosts the World Indoor Championships.
After that, attention will quickly switch to the Commonwealth Games on Australia's Gold Coast, with the Berlin-hosted Europeans taking centre-stage as a season climax.
"I am really excited to compete in Glasgow for the first time," he added. "After the whirlwind of London 2017 I'm ready to hit the ground running in 2018.
"I haven't run indoors in this country since I was about 13, when my mum bought me a new pair of spikes and I was convinced I was going to run a personal best, but it didn't go according to plan!
"I really want to build on the success that we had as a team and individually this year."
Mitchell-Blake ensured a stunning World Championships climax for the British team as he combined with CJ Ujah, Adam Gemili and Danny Talbot to take gold in a European record time of 37.47 seconds.
"Right after the World Championships was pretty crazy," he said.
"I was getting recognised in quite a few places and I thought, 'I'm a celebrity, I am not quite used to this!' But I enjoyed it and embraced it.
"I watched the video (of the race) again this week, and I got goosebumps and my heart started racing.
"I am just trying to find the balance in accepting what we did, but also acknowledging there is more to be achieved down the line."
