Cameron Wake has signed a contract extension with Miami that ties him to the franchise through the 2018 season.
Wake made a superb comeback from a serious Achilles injury in 2016, forcing 11.5 sacks and securing a place in the Pro Bowl.
The 35-year-old, who has 81.5 career sacks, also claimed his first interception in the NFL against the New York Jets.
Wake only signed his most recent contract in May and would now appear set to spend the remainder of his career with the Dolphins.
He was drafted by the New York Giants in 2005 but was released before playing a game and spent two seasons with the BC Lions in the Canadian Football League before joining the Dolphins in 2009.
