Denver Broncos 45-10 Arizona Cardinals: Miller backs up pre-game talk with rout in the desert

The Denver Broncos ended their four-game losing skid in style with a wild and dominant 45-10 victory over the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday.

Denver had been under pressure after their losing run but, after Von Miller had guaranteed the win before the game, the Broncos defence backed that up by scoring two touchdowns from interception returns and stifling the Cardinals offence all night.

Wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders caught and threw a touchdown pass in another electric performance that keeps the season alive for the 3-4 Broncos but essentially ends it already for the 1-6 Cardinals.

Rookie quarterback Jose Rosen had a tough night as Arizona slipped to 0-4 at home for the first time since 1979.

Denver’s defensive leader Miller says his outburst before the game was meant more of a inspiration for his team rather than a warning for the Cards.

"It wasn't even for the Cardinals, it was for my teammates," Miller said. "I just thought what we were missing was the confidence part of it.

“I thought about it and that is not even like me, but I felt that was the best thing to do to get my teammates going, and it worked."
