Day four report

Klara Spilkova produced a brilliant final round to claim her first victory on the Ladies European Tour in the Lalla Meryem Cup in Morocco.

Spilkova, who started the day four shots off the lead held by Norway's Suzann Pettersen, fired six birdies in a flawless closing 66 to finish eight under par at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam.

Pettersen birdied the 17th to keep her hopes alive, but surprisingly left her birdie putt to force a play-off short and had to settle for second place, a shot ahead of England's Annabel Dimmock.

Spilkova, who turned professional shortly after her 16th birthday, picked up shots on the fifth, sixth and eighth to reach the turn in 33, before birdies on the 10th, 13th and 14th took the 22-year-old Czech into the outright lead.

Pettersen, who was trying to win her eighth LET title, had birdied the sixth and seventh to maintain her lead after Dimmock picked up three shots in the first seven holes.

However, dropped shots on the 10th and 15th left Pettersen two shots behind with three holes to play and although she got up and down from a greenside bunker on the par-five 17th, the 36-year-old was unable to find another birdie on the last.

Day three report

Norway's Suzann Pettersen will take a one-shot lead into the final round of the Lalla Meryem Cup after Lydia Hall failed to build on a flying start in Morocco.

Hall moved four shots clear of the field with birdies on the first and fourth at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam, only for the 29-year-old from Bridgend to then bogey the sixth, seventh and eighth.

Worse was to follow with a wild drive on the 10th leading to a double-bogey six, but Hall steadied the ship with a run of pars before a birdie on the 17th in a third round of 74.

Pettersen carded three birdies and one bogey in her 70 to finish six under par, with Hall on five under and England's Annabel Dimmock a shot further back.

Dimmock had also carded two early birdies before running up a triple bogey on the sixth and a double bogey on the next, but recovered to cover the back nine in 34 in an eventful 73.

Felicity Johnson capitalised on Hall's struggles to move into the outright lead with birdies on the ninth, 11th and 14th, but bogeyed three of the last four holes to fall three shots off the pace alongside Finland's Krista Bakker.

Scotland's Kelsey Macdonald produced the best round of the day to climb into contention, the 26-year-old carding nine birdies in a 67 that left her on two under.

Day two report

Lydia Hall's blemish-free 68 in Morocco on Friday earned her a two-shot lead after the second round of the Lalla Meryem Cup.

Wales' Hall was one off the pace following an up-and-down 69 in her opening round which actually featured six birdies, and the 29-year-old cut out the bogeys the next day and picked up shots on four holes.

That included birdies on the 16th and 17th to leave her at the head of the field on seven under.

England's Annabel Dimmock is her nearest challenger two strokes behind after she carded a 69 while Norway's Suzann Pettersen is a shot further back at four under.

The trio will all play together on Saturday and will go out after Felicity Johnson, on three under, and a host of players five shots off Hall at two under, including England's Georgia Hall.

Overnight leader Gemma Dryburgh slipped back into the pack at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam after a second-round 76 left her even par for the tournament.

Day one report

Scotland's Gemma Dryburgh carded a four-under-par 68 to claim a narrow lead after the opening round of the Lalla Meryem Cup in Morocco.

Dryburgh fired five birdies and a solitary bogey on the Blue Course at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam to finish a shot ahead of Wales's Lydia Hall, Klara Spilkova, Suzann Pettersen and Nicole Garcia.

Playing partners Spilkova and Hall each carded six birdies and three bogeys, with Hall's final dropped shot of the day coming on the ninth, her final hole.

"At the start of the day I would have taken three under, but I'm a little disappointed to have bogeyed the last hole," Hall said. "Klara and I both had 69 and kept spurring each other on."

England's Felicity Johnson and Annabel Dimmock were part of a large group on two under par which included home favourite Maha Haddioui, who had two birdies and 16 pars in a flawless 70.

Dryburgh, 23, said: "It's a very good feeling (to lead). I'll be up early tomorrow and get the ball rolling. I just have to do the same thing - play my game, stick to the game plan and one shot at a time. It's obviously very early in the tournament so I'll keep patient.

"I played really well and my putting was especially good. I only had 20 putts and I didn't hit that many greens. I had a couple of up and downs.

"The greens are immaculate, they are rolling really well and if you hit it on the right line, they will go in."
