The Cheltenham Festival is over for another year but there's still racing to come from Dundalk this evening - don't miss Fran Berry's tips.
There's a lot of uncertainty around with everything going on and when you think about the Flat season just being around the corner it's quite surreal at the moment.
In many ways I'm glad we can keep the show on the road and Dundalk will its part this evening after the drama has unfolded at the Cheltenham Festival.
We're not exactly top-heavy when it comes to strong fancies on the card but here are three to consider for this evening's action...
Sheberghan - 6.15 Dundalk
This horse has an interesting profile as he's Aga Khan-bred and was trained by Dermot Weld but then moved to Archie Watson before being trained by Ed Dunlop, and now he's with Paul Flynn. He's only had the two starts for his new handler but was second on debut and then went one better over course and distance last time.
He won by half a length off a 4lb lower mark and did so from stall 13 which was a good effort, and for my money he was idling a little bit when he hit the front.
He runs off 75 tonight and has shown form from the mid-80s in his youth, while he has a very good draw in stall two this time. It's a competitive race but he can keep improving for his new stable and has a lot in his favour.
Stagehand - 8.15 Dundalk
Not a strong selection by any means and she may be worth monitoring on this occasion but at 25/1 or so Stagehand might be worth a small each-way interest.
She was with Charlie Hills and won a small race at Ripon but did have useful form on the all-weather at Newcastle and Wolves and could run a big race on her Irish debut. I think dropping back to a mile, the drip that suited her relatives best, will suit and she's not without a chance at all at huge odds.
Scholastic - 8.45 Dundalk
The O'Brien family have the market leader here in Mythologic, trained by Donnacha O'Brien and also owned by Ann-Marie O'Brien but it's the Joseph O'Brien-trained horse I like the look of at the prices.
She won a nursery at the Curragh off a lowly mark in the autumn and I think you can upgrade her recent fourth at Dundalk when missing the break and having to race wide.
She's off the same mark and worth another chance back up to a mile - the distance over which she won at the Curragh.
