Sheffield United's fate looks to be sealed following a 1-0 loss at Fulham last time out, remaining 14 points from safety with just 13 games to go and rock bottom of the Premier League table.

Their bad news on the injury front continues, too, losing John Egan long-term thanks to a dislocated toe in their 3-0 hammering by West Ham.

Phil Jagielka filled in for the Irishman against Fulham, and is likely to remain at centre-back for this fixture.

Injuries have continually plagued the Blades' backline this season, which is starting to have a serious affect on their defensive performance.

Home 7/1 | Draw 18/5 | Away 2/5

Chris Wilder's side have come under increasing pressure defensively in recent weeks, conceding an average of 1.67 expected goals against (xGA) per game in their last five matches.

At 7/1, I'm willing to take a chance on JAGIELKA TO BE CARDED.

The 38-year-old will be dealing with an immensely fluid attacking unit and is prone to a mistake.

I would think he sees a yellow at least once if this match is played seven times, making the price solid value.

When did Liverpool last win a league game?

Incredibly, Liverpool have gone without a Premier League win longer than Sheffield United.

Defeat in the Merseyside derby stretched the Reds' losing streak to four games, a run that has seriously jeopardised their top-four chances.

We are finally seeing Liverpool's decimated defensive unit suffer the consequences of astoundingly bad injury luck, allowing 10 goals and 8.53 xGA across those four losses; Jordan Henderson's groin injury only makes matters worse.

Their attack is going to have to pick up the slack if they want to qualify for the Champions League, and, despite recent results, signs in that area are fairly positive.

Liverpool's forward line is still playing well

Jürgen Klopp's side created 2.23 xG in the heavy defeat at Leicester, 1.45 xG against a tough RB Leipzig defence, and missed chances equating to 1.59 xG at home to Everton.

Goals have been hard to come by but scoring opportunities haven't. As a result, I'm happy to back LIVERPOOL 16+ SHOTS at 11/10.

Considering Fulham's supremacy over the Blades last Saturday, it's safe to assume Liverpool will completely dominate territory in this match-up

The Reds have little wriggle room in the race for fourth place but could hardly have picked a better time to face Sheffield United, and should win with relative ease.
