❌ DENIED

With Sheff United leading and Leeds trailing against Millwall, things are interesting at the top of the Sky Bet Championship.

Leeds were just awarded a penalty after a foul on Alioski and Patrick Bamford had his spot-kick saved.

🔍 IN-PLAY BETTING ADVICE

A big chance for the Cherries to get back into it at Leicester with Wilson denied by Schmeichel. You can back the visitors to score the game's next goal at the King Power at 11/8

In the same market, Palace have woken up after a slow start at Selhurst Park against Huddersfield and the 4/9 on them to score could be a good odds-on option

🌩 GOAL FLASH

  • Leicester 1-0 AFC Bournemouth (Morgan, 11)

Wes Morgan - in for the suspended Harry Maguire - scores for the second game in a row, a fortuitous touch off his heels after Chilwell's cros. Or was it a backheel?! Possibly the former...

Meanwhile, in the Sky Bet Championship a couple of big goals at the top:

  • Leeds 0-1 Millwall (Thompson, 10)
  • Sheff United 1-0 Bristol City (Sharp, 6)

📸 ACTION SHOT

🤞 GOOD START

Tom Carnduff tipped Doncaster to win on a -1 handicap in his Sky Bet EFL tips (at 15/8). Well it's promising - Rovers are already two up against Walsall after five minutes!

🌩 GOAL FLASH

  • Burnley 1-0 Wolves (Coady OG, 2')

Chris Wood opens the scoring inside two minutes at Turf Moor, although it looks like it is going to go down as a Conor Coady own goal. What a start for the Clarets.

⚽️ Sky Bet EFL betting preview

Our best bets for the latest Sky Bet EFL action
Our best bets for the latest Sky Bet EFL action

We're back to a full schedule of Sky Bet EFL fixtures with the conclusion of the international break.

Expert tipster Tom Carnduff picks out his best bets.

Rotherham are the outsiders here, but they are capable of finding the net given the fact that Derby have conceded in all-but-one of their last seven games in the Championship.

The Millers have only failed to score in one of their last eight games. When looking at the betting, the one price that stood out was the huge 17/2 available on Semi Ajayi to score anytime.

During the last round of Championship games, Ajayi provided a 14/1 anytime goalscorer winning tip and I'm more than willing to put my faith in the Rotherham man to do it again.

The centre-back has relished his permanent move into midfield and has found himself on a prolific run in front of goal.

The 25-year-old has scored six goals in his last five games, seven in ten since that game against Leeds in January where he featured in his new role.

Since that move to midfield, he's posted shots in all games but one (the defeat to Sheffield United). It shows that he is now given the freedom to get forward more and join the attack and it's reflected in the goals he's scoring.

He's a player in-form too, not just down to the goals. He's starting to prove himself as a key player if Rotherham are to stay up this season and a permanent positional move has benefited both the player and his team.

Due to his defensive nature, he also provides an aerial presence on set-pieces and does grab goals from there. The ability to strike from distance is the most eye-catching though, a part of his game that we didn't get to see much before.

Rovers managed to snap a seven-game winless run with a convincing 4-1 victory over Bristol Rovers in midweek.

Despite that torrid patch of form, Doncaster are still in the play-off positions. They currently sit two points clear of Peterborough with seven games remaining for both.

They are playing at home against a relegation-threatened side who have struggled for results in recent months. The Saddlers have now lost their last three, although it should be said that they were against sides in the top-four of the division.

Equally, two of those games were at home. They've got a poor record on the road with just one win from their last 13 league away games. Recent trips to Coventry and Blackpool, two of the sides chasing the play-offs, ended with defeat by at least a two-goal margin.

With the hosts odds-on for victory here, the handicap market is where the value lies and it's worth a small stake on the 15/8 available for Doncaster to win on -1.

Their last three victories at home have been by at least two goals - alongside the fact that only Sunderland and Luton have scored more goals at home in England's third tier this season.

A battle between two sides towards the bottom of the Sky Bet League Two table, but two sides who should avoid relegation this season.

Crawley's away from has been a large factor into why they are currently flirting with the drop. They've won just three of their 19 games on the road, with 12 points from a possible 39 the worst return in League Two.

They were hammered 6-1 by Crewe on their last trip and travel to face a Morecambe side who won their last two in front of their own supporters.

It's not just the points gained from those games, but it's the manner of the victories that has made it all the more impressive. They beat automatic promotion hopefuls MK Dons 4-2, that's after beating a Forest Green side 3-0 who are currently inside the play-offs.

Analysing the statistics behind this game, Crawley are expected to concede over two goals per game. They're actually the third-worst team in the division when it comes to probability for victory - only the current bottom-two have worse.

There's a best price of 13/10 available on a Morecambe victory, but taking into account the expected goals conceded, it's worth taking the 2/1 price on a Morecambe win with over 1.5 goals in the match.

Crawley have clearly demonstrated the problems they have playing away from home - which is why it's worth backing a Morecambe side who have picked up results when it mattered in front of their own supporters.

🏆 PREMIER LEAGUE TIPS

Sporting Life's Premier League preview package
Sporting Life's Premier League preview package

Time is running out to back our Premier League tips. After a 9/4 winner in the early kick-off, hopefully they keep coming...

A fairly simple one for the Old Trafford clash, with goal intervals under the spotlight, and this is probably the most preferred bet from the 3pm games.

The one market that catches the eye is for the highest scoring half to be the second period. It may be only at evens, but it has particular appeal once you look at how the game could pan out.

FA Cup semi-finalists Watford have probably gone under the radar this term, with Wolves generally taking all the plaudits outside the top six.

They have won five of their last seven in all competitions and sit eighth in the table. You would expect Javi Gracia's side to travel north looking to make it as difficult as possible in the first half before opening it up and going for it in the second.

This shows from their games against other members of the so-called 'big six' - with the highest scoring half coming after the interval in their most recent games against Man City, Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal.

While Man United will be keen to burst out of the blocks, Watford can keep them at bay and save the goals for the second half. Simple, but hopefully effective.

Southampton players celebrate James Ward-Prowse's goal against Spurs
Southampton players celebrate James Ward-Prowse's goal against Spurs

There has been a definite improvement at Southampton since Ralph Hasenhuttl's arrival, with six Premier League wins giving them a real chance of survival.

The visitors can come back from the international break ready to hit the ground running and odds at a shade above 2/1 for them to score at least two goals looks like a good option here.

Hasenhuttl's men have unlocked their goalscoring potential by netting two or more in their last three league outings and Brighton are often guilty of defensive lapses, which showed in last month's home defeat to Burnley.

There is a worry the Saints' three-week break will have been too long and they will be heavy legged, but the intensity under their Austrian boss means the rest should have done them good. They need the win slightly more and are continuing to improve, so they can find the back of the net twice and triumph at the Amex.

Leicester's James Maddison in action at Burnley
Leicester's James Maddison in action at Burnley

The preferred option for this match is to avoid the result and to look at a goalscorer who is priced generously at 13/5 anytime.

James Maddison ended a 16-match goal drought when he netted in the comeback at Burnley before the international break and the summer signing can add to his six-goal tally here.

He averages over two shots per game in the Premier League this term and should find plenty of space on the edge of the box as Leicester's front three look to stretch the Cherries defence.

The Foxes are in with a chance of finishing best of the rest so could do with a win here. We expect them to collect all three points, so Maddison in a score-and-win at 10/3 is appealing, but sticking with him anytime is the way to go here.

⌛️ FULL-TIME: FULHAM 0-2 MAN CITY

Fulham's Sergio Rico reacts after conceding against Manchester City
Fulham's Sergio Rico reacts after conceding against Manchester City

That's it at Craven Cottage. A flattering scoreline for Fulham, but at least they kept City out for the second half.

The first 45 was so dominant from the Citizens that they could coast quite comfortably through the second.

Bernardo Silva's goal after five minutes put the visitors on their way - and a successful 9/4 pre-match tip for them to be leading after a quarter of an hour - and Sergio Aguero soon doubled their lead.

The game lost its impetus in the second as City return to the top of the Premier League for 24 hours at least. Over to you Liverpool.

Now to the 3pm games...

ℹ️ MATCH INFO

Gundogan just failed to put through Jesus, but the pace of the game has definitely gone. Kyle Walker hit the woodwork a few minutes ago. A deflected Fulham free-kick just nearly wrong-footed Ederson.

Around four minutes to go, Sterling's game is over as he is replaced by Mahrez.

🔍 UPDATE

The below price has now changed to 11/8. With 12 and a bit minutes to play. Even if they have taken their foot off the pedal, that is still a lot of time to bag a third...

🔍 IN-PLAY BETTING ADVICE

City coasting at the moment but Guardiola surely will not allow that for the remaining 20 minutes.

Backing them to score the next goal even at the odds-on price of 4/6 is a good way to go to add to your pot for the afternoon.

Back it here

⏱️ STAY TUNED

We'll be with you throughout the afternoon, not just the early kick-off.

Once the full-time whistle goes at Craven Cottage we'll be turning our attention to the 3pm games in the Premier League and Sky Bet EFL.

Between full-time and kick-offs elsewhere, we'll be providing sharing our tips plus team news from the top flight.

🔄 MAN CITY SUB

Aguero is replaced by Gabriel Jesus on 57 minutes. Just the one goal for him, as he leads the way in the Golden Boot race.

Jesus is 6/4 to score anytime

🚀 OTAMENDI SHOOTS

The Argentinian defender had his third effort of the game, De Bruyne pulling it back to him on the edge of the box.

He pulled the trigger, struck the ball...

High and wide. So high it cleared the stand at Craven Cottage!

⏱️ SECOND HALF

Fulham 0-2 Manchester City - now back underway at Craven Cottage...

🔍 IN-PLAY BETTING ADVICE

Considering how dominant that first half was for City, it would be no surprise to see a slight improvement from the hosts in the second.

That being said, the 5/4 odds on City to have 31+ total shots looks a good price.

They have already had 18 in total - that's blocked, off target, on target, everything. So 13 shots in the second period is not a big ask with the way they have been going.

Back it here

🚨 SKY BET PRICE BOOST

He enjoyed the international break with England and had three shots in that dominant first half for City...

So Raheem Sterling to score the game's third goal has been enhanced to 5/1 by the online bookmaker.

Take a look here, along with more in-play odds, Price Boosts and RequestABets

⏱️ HALF-TIME

Fulham 0-2 Manchester City

A dominant return to Premier League football after the international break and FA Cup involvement for the Citizens. Goals from Bernardo Silva and Aguero have put them on top and heading back to the league's summit.

SEVEN first-half corners, EIGHTEEN shots for the visitors.

😳 POOR PARKER

You have got to feel for Scott Parker, who took over as caretaker boss of a side heading for relegation. His first four fixtures?

Chelsea, Leicester, Liverpool and Man City. Welcome to management, Scott...

📽️ GOAL REPLAY

Sergio Aguero doubles Manchester City's lead
Sergio Aguero doubles Manchester City's lead

'Deadly as ever'

📊 STAT TIME

Dominant is probably an understatement! Wow...

🎆 BETTING SUCCESS

City leading after 15 minutes also means a winning 9/4 tip from yours truly. Always tough to find value in a City win market but that was a good price up against struggling Fulham.

🌩 GOAL FLASH

  • Fulham 0-2 Man City

No surprises here. Aguero doubles City's lead inside 28 minutes. Goal number 29 of the campaign for him (all comps), a great finish from the right of the six-yard box.

📽️ GOAL REPLAY

A look at that early City goal...

📸 ACTION SHOT

Celebrations for Manchester City at Fulham

📊 STAT TIME

64% of match possession has come in Fulham's third of the pitch. Dominant start from the Citizens.

They have already had five corners - with only 13 minutes on the clock! They are looking sharp and determined.

Even over 12.5 corners at 4/7 looks value at the minute.
