Zlatan Ibrahimovic scores in his fourth decade as AC Milan triumph at Cagliari

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored in his fourth decade of an extraordinary career as he bagged his first since returning to AC Milan.

The Swedish legend was making his second appearance for the Rossenari, who he re-joined on a free in December, and 58th in total having played there from 2010-2012.

His clever strike sealed a 2-0 victory at Cagliari after Rafael Leao’s deflected strike earlier broke the deadlock.

Ibrahimhovic has now scored in four different decades, with his first ever career goal coming for Malmo back in 1999.

The 38-year-old, who once likened himself to Benjamin Button in 2018 when signing for LA Galaxy, has also found the net for nine different clubs in seven countries during a career that has provided no end of entertainment both on and off the field.

After the game he told Sky Sport Italia: "It's important for a striker to score; sometimes it goes in, sometimes it doesn’t. I feel good, I got a few things wrong at the start of the game, but I need a few matches to get into top form. The coach thinks about my age but it’s not a problem, my mind is still sharp and the body must follow."
