Liverpool could win Premier League title without kicking another ball

Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool side could win the Premier League title without kicking another ball after Manchester City dropped points again.

The Reds need just six more points to mathematically guarantee their first league trophy in 30 years after City were beaten by Manchester rivals United on Sunday.

However, with City playing two games before Liverpool travel to Everton on Monday night, Klopp's men could be crowned Premier League champions before kick-off at Goodison Park.

If Pep Guardiola's City side lose to Arsenal on Wednesday and then Burnley on Saturday, Liverpool will win the 2019/20 Premier League.

That's because the biggest total City could achieve from their final eight games afterwards is 81 points - with Liverpool currently sitting on 82.

One defeat against either Arsenal or Burnley would also see Liverpool crowned champions with a win over Everton.
