Leicester v Sunderland

Michael Beardmore (@MickeyBeardmore)

With 11 wins from their opening 12 Sky Bet Championship games, Leicester already look like a Premier League team in waiting, appearing to have a fabulous chance of bouncing straight back up to the top flight after relegation last term.

What will perhaps please boss Enzo Maresca the most is that they are winning in different ways - yep, they've blown teams away as in 4-1 wins at Southampton and Blackburn but they have also come through some battles too.

Of those 11 victories, six have come in games that have been level at half-time and I think there is mileage in the generous 18/5 on offer on DRAW HT/LEICESTER FT when Sunderland visit the King Power Stadium.

The Black Cats are backing up last season's play-off campaign with another fine effort, sitting sixth thus far, and seven of their 12 matches thus far have been level at the interval.

Carlisle v Burton

Michael Beardmore (@MickeyBeardmore)

After a rough start to the season - with a hell of a schedule that included Blackpool, Derby, Wycombe, Bolton and Barnsley, all sides expected to challenge for promotion from Sky Bet League One - BURTON have bounced back and are flying.

Five wins in their past seven have catapulted the Brewers up to ninth and in all of those victories they have put away opponents who are mid-table or lower.

Another such opportunity presents itself against a Carlisle side who have lost four of their past six and sit just outside the relegation zone, looking set for a battle to avoid the drop straight back down to League Two after promotion last term.

The Cumbrians have scored just five goals in their past eight games in all competitions and three of those came in one match, a freak, out-of-the-blue 3-1 win at Bolton.

The form guide suggests the visitors are overpriced TO WIN at 21/10 generally here, considering they have claimed four victories on the spin.

Crewe vs Stockport

James Cantrill (@JimmyThePunt)

CREWE have gone toe-to-toe with League Two’s biggest and best this season.

Honours have been shared in each of their three games with top-six sides Swindon (2-2), Mansfield (2-2) and Wrexham (3-3). The latter needed a 95th-minute leveller to split the points with the Alex.

Interestingly, Tuesday’s hosts went off considerably shorter for their trip to the Racecourse (47/20) at the end of September.

Lee Bell’s side are yet to lose at Gresty Road this season, winning five of those games, and each of their two defeats came away from home.

Netting at least two goals in 93% of their league games, Crewe have simply been outscoring their opponents which is why backing them TO WIN AND BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE appeals.

Inter vs Salzburg

James Cantrill (@JimmyThePunt)

In the Champions League this campaign SALZBURG have had 25 shots, 14 coming in their victory over Benfica and the other 11 in defeat against Real Sociedad.

This shoot on sight approach will come as little surprise to long-time admirers of the Austrian club. As per Fotmob, Salzburg averaged 14.2 per game in this competition last season.

Salzburg shots

At 4/5, siding with the visitors at the San Siro to have 9+ SHOTS appeals - it was a bet that clicked in all bar one of their Champions League games last season, only failing in their trip to Stamford Bridge.

Interestingly, the same line is considerably shorter with other firms which suggests there is some juice in William Hill’s price.

Odds correct at 2310 (23/10/23)
