The full results from the 2017 World Grand Prix, which took place in Dublin from October 1-7.
The latest televised darts major on the PDC circuit has come to a close at Dublin's Citywest Hotel Convention Centre after a week of high drama at the unique double-start World Grand Prix.
World number one Michael van Gerwen was the defending champion having won the title for a third time when destroying Gary Anderson 5-2 with one of the finest performances in the tournament's long history, and once again headed the betting at odds-on prices despite suffering disappointments at the World Matchplay and Champions League of Darts.
But big John Henderson blew the competition wide open by defeating him on the opening night while the absences of Gary Anderson, who withdrew due to the impending birth of his second child with partner Rachel, and Phil Taylor due to his scaling down of events, gave a real opportunity for the rising stars and underdogs of the game.

Tournament Format
- All Sets are the best of five legs. There will be no tie-break in any set.
- All legs must begin and end with a double, meaning that a player must hit a double before he can begin scoring in each leg.

This is one of the majors broadcast live on Sky Sports, whose coverage begins at 1900 BST every night except the final, which starts at 2000 BST.

The betting for the World Grand Prix was completely shaken up after 4/5 pre-tournament favourite Michael van Gerwen crashed out to 500/1 outsider John Henderson in the first round while Gary Anderson's withdrawal for family reasons also helped to blow the event wide open.

The world's top 16 players on the PDC's main Order of Merit (on September 11) qualified by right - with the highest ranked eight being the seeds - and they were joined by the 16 qualifiers from the one-year ProTour Order of Merit.
However, with Phil Taylor deciding against playing in Dublin, the door opened for 2015 champion Robert Thornton, who had dropped to 17th on the main Order of Merit at the cut off point.
Mark Webster then came in through the back door on the Order of Merit list after Gary Anderson pulled out of the event on Sunday due to the impending birth of his second child with his partner Rachel.
Rob Cross heads the 16 ProTour Order of Merit qualifiers thanks to his stunning debut season while Christian Kist, Richard North and Ronny Huybrechts have also secured their World Grand Prix debuts next month with their form in the past 12 months.
The ProTour Order of Merit qualifiers also include former World Grand Prix finalist Mervyn King and former Dublin semi-finalists Steve Beaton, Stephen Bunting and Justin Pipe.
Steve West overcame Taylor with a memorable win on his World Grand Prix debut 12 months ago, while Alan Norris, Joe Cullen, Gerwyn Price, Kyle Anderson, Cristo Reyes, Darren Webster and John Henderson complete the 32-player field.

World Grand Prix History
The World Grand Prix is one of the PDC tour's major events and takes place in Dublin every October. It is the only televised event in which players must start and finish each leg on a double or the bullseye.
Its unique format adds an extra dimension when it comes to betting, with darts punters often preferring to back who they feel is a better 'finisher' rather than those renowned for heavy scoring.
The World Grand Prix was first held in Rochester, Kent in 1998 before switching to County Wexford two years later but in 2001 the event moved to its current home at the Citywest Hotel in Dublin.
Phil Taylor is the most successful player in the history of the straight knockout competition with 11 titles to his name but the 'Power' has also suffered four defeats in the first-round, which all came as relief to the bookies.
Alan Warriner (2001), Colin Lloyd (2004), James Wade (2007 & 2010), Michael van Gerwen (2012, 2014 & 2016) and Robert Thornton, who upset the odds to beat 'Mighty Mike' in 2015, are the other champions of the World Grand Prix.
