The third event of the 2017 PDC European Tour took place from April 21-23 with the inaugural HappyBet German Darts Open.

Michael van Gerwen was the hot favourite to triumph from the 48 players competing for glory at the Saarlandhalle but in the end he didn't even make the final as Peter Wright picked up his second European Tour title of the season.
