Kenny Neyens and Dimitri Van den Bergh win in Wigan

Kenny Neyens and Dimitri Van den Bergh made it a Belgian double in the second weekend of PDC Unicorn Development Tour action got underway in Wigan.

Neyens, who hit a nine-darter earlier this year, clinched Event Five as he beat two-time Challenge Tour winner Adam Hunt in a tense 5-4 victory for his second career Development Tour title.

He kicked off the day with a 4-1 victory against Brad Burnett, before victories over Callum Matthews and Jimmy Hendriks booked his place in the last 32.

Next he saw off Ronnie Roberts and whitewashed Justin Smith as he reached the quarter-finals. A 5-4 victory over Joe Davis secured his place in the final four, before overcoming Luke Humphries - who has two Development Tour titles to his name this year - as he reached the final.

Belgian Mike De Decker landed a nine-darter in his fifth round victory over Nathan Rafferty, before he lost out to Humphries in the quarter-finals.

Hunt had beaten Greg Ritchie, Mike van Duivenbode, Andrew Davidson, Colin Roelofs, Van den Bergh, Adam Smith-Neale and Jaime Nunez Cortes to secure his place in the final.

In Event Six, Van den Bergh (pictured) made it a second Development Tour title of 2017 as once again Hunt fell at the final hurdle in a 5-2 victory for the Belgian, as he secured an eighth Development Tour title of his career.

Dropping just four legs in early victories over Daniel Williams, Callum Goffin and Jordan Matthews saw the 22-year-old march into the last 32.

A whitewash over Dawson Murschell followed before he comfortably beat compatriot Neyens 4-1 to secure a spot in the last eight.

There he beat former Players Championship winner Josh Payne 5-3, and followed that with a repeat victory over Greg Ritchie to secure his place in the final.

Another superb run for Hunt saw him drop just seven legs on his way to a second consecutive final.

He kicked off with back-to-back whitewash victories over Matt Smith and Paul Mitchell and followed that with a 4-2 third round win over Ted Evetts before beating Callan Rydz 4-1.

A third whitewash followed over Sebastian Pohl in the fifth round, and he saw off Brian Raman 5-1 and Mike De Decker 5-3 before falling at the final hurdle once more.

Adam Hunt and Steve Lennon finished the weekend in style as they claimed victories in the seventh and eighth events.

Hunt, who had been beaten in the previous two Development Tour finals on Saturday, secured his sixth PDC title and a fourth on the Development Tour, beating Stephen Rosney 5-3 in the final.

After making the final twice in succession on the weekend's opening day, Hunt opened his account in style on Sunday with a convincing 4-1 win over Sam Hewson. He then made light work of Jimmy Hendriks and former Development Tour winner Sven Groen - 4-1 and 4-0 respectively - to move in to the last 32.

The fourth round was where Hunt faced his sternest challenge, being taken all the way to a last leg decider by Jake Jones. Next up were William Borland and John Brown where the Englishman only dropped one leg in each encounter to reach the semi-finals.

A 5-3 victory over Dimitri Van den Bergh, who had claimed a Development Tour on Saturday, set Hunt on his way to the final where Rosney would be his opponent.

Rosney had beaten Jnr Joyce, Aaron Fairweather, Lee Bugden, Ronnie Roberts, Joe Davis, Andy Asker and Steve Lennon to reach the last two but Hunt proved too strong for his opponent.

Event Eight saw Ireland's Steve Lennon claim a second Development Tour title after a 5-3 win over 2016 Grand Slam of Darts competitor Ted Evetts in the final.

Lennon, who had been beaten at the semi-final stage of Event Seven began the final tournament of the weekend with wins over Declan Salter, Joshua Burksfield and Joe Croft, dropping just two legs in the process.

A brace of 4-2 wins over Scott Jackson and Ronnie Roberts saw Lennon safely in to the quarter-finals.

The last eight saw Ryan Meikle - who has already won on the Development Tour in 2017 - provide a test for Lennon, who overcame his opponent in a 5-3 victory.

An impressive 5-1 win against Joe Davis set the Irishman up perfectly for the decider where Evetts awaited.

Emerging Warwickshire ace Evetts, who hit a nine-darter in a Coral UK Open Qualifier last month, had beaten Reece Aitman, James Wilkinson, Dawson Murchell, Brandon Walsh, Jake Jones, Ryan Hoggarth and Luke Humphries to reach the final.

However, Lennon took a 5-3 victory to claim the £2,000 top prize.
