Third suspect arrested in connection with bribery

A third suspect has been arrested in connection with bribery offences linked to international cricket match spot-fixing.

Officers from the National Crime Agency (NCA) arrested the British man, who is in his 30s, on Thursday morning in Sheffield as part of its ongoing investigation.

He has since been bailed pending further inquiries.

Two men, including Pakistan cricketer Nasir Jamshed, were arrested by NCA officers on Monday February 13 and were bailed until April.

The National Crime Agency (NCA) said earlier this month that it is working on an investigation with the Pakistan Cricket Board and the International Cricket Council's anti-corruption units.

A spokesman said the Pakistan Cricket Board has launched its own investigation, which has resulted in the suspension of three players.
