England all-rounder Moeen Ali smashed 66 off just 28 balls as the Royal Challengers Bangalore won a high-scoring IPL clash against the Kolkata Knight Riders by 10 runs on Friday.
Moeen, batting at four, struck six sixes and five fours before falling to the final ball of the 16th over - having already clubbed spinner Kuldeep Yadav for 26 runs in the over.
Captain Virat Kohli led the way with a 58-ball 100 before he was dismissed off the last ball of the innings by former England seamer Harry Gurney as RCB ran up a formidable 213 for four in Kolkata.
The home side battled hard to reach their target but fell just short as they finished on 203 for five, earning last-placed RCB only their second win.
