India won by eight wickets to take the series 2-1

Sri Lanka: 215 all out (44.5 overs, Tharanga 95, Samarawickrama 42; Yadav 3-42, Chahal 3-46)

India: 219-2 (32.1 overs, Dhawan 100*, Iyer 65; Perera 1-25)

India added one-day series success to their Test victory over Sri Lanka, with Shikhar Dhawan and their spin twins to the fore in Visakhapatnam.

Tied at 1-1 going into the third ODI, India romped to an eight-wicket win with almost 18 overs to spare.

Upul Tharanga made a spirited 95 as Sri Lanka batted first, but tweakers Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal shared six wickets as the innings buckled for a disappointing 215.

Dhawan then reeled off 100 not out, his 12th century in the format, in a 135-run stand with Shreyas Iyer (65).

It fell to Dinesh Karthik (26no) to hit the winning runs, and secure an eighth straight series win, with 107 deliveries unbowled by the tourists.
