Match report
Babar Azam scored his second century in as many games as Pakistan moved into a 2-0 lead in the one-day international series against Sri Lanka.
After making 103 in the opening match, Babar made 101 in 133 deliveries in Abu Dhabi, paving the way for a 32-run victory.
His seventh ODI ton, a feat achieved in just 33 innings, was the anchoring knock in a first-innings total of 219 for nine.
Lahiru Gamage, with four 57, threatened to wreak havoc on the rest of the Pakistan batting order, but Shadab Khan produced a much-needed supporting hand worth 52 not out.
The reply was even more of a one-man stand, opener Lahiru Thirimanne carrying his bat for 112.
The next best contribution in a score of 187 all out was 22, from tailender Jeffrey Vandersay, while Shadab added three wickets to his earlier half-century.
Pakistan are the odds-on favourites at 4/11 with Sky Bet to win Wednesday's third one-day international.
Sri Lanka are 9/4 outsiders for the win.
