Will Conor McGregor box again? We look at the UFC star's potential opponents including Paulie Malignaggi

Conor McGregor is 6/4 to beat Paulie Malignaggi should they meet in the boxing ring. We take a look at more potential opponents for the UFC star.

Floyd Mayweather saved Sky Bet - and many other bookies - millions on Saturday night by stopping the popular 3/1 underdog Conor McGregor in the 10th round of their mega-fight in Las Vegas.

The Irishman, who was stepping into a boxing ring for the first time as a pro, attracted over 80% of the bets but came up short against the undefeated legend of the sport.

However, this may not be the last time you see UFC star McGregor trying his hand at boxing after saying "anyone who wants a knock, give me a shout" in the wake of his 10th-round loss.

Here, we take a look at his potential opponents and the Sky Bet odds about him facing them next in the boxing ring...

WATCH! Paulie Malignaggi outburst against Conor McGregor

PAULIE MALIGNAGGI (2/5)

The retired American sparred with McGregor but things quickly turned sour as he left the camp amid denied claims he had been knocked down. Malignaggi retired this year after time caught up with him, but could he face McGregor on St Patrick's Day in New York, as has been mooted?

Sky Bet have even priced up a potential meeting between the pair, making Malignaggi 1/2 for victory and McGregor 6/4.

FLOYD MAYWEATHER (33/1)

Surely not? Mayweather said he was retired "for sure" after beating McGregor but, Mayweather also loves money. This fight has reportedly earned him 100 million dollars – would he be able to resist 200 million? His perfect 50-0 record should keep him out of the gym.

ANDRE BERTO (5/1)

Berto, who was the last boxer to fight Floyd Mayweather back in 2015 when he lost via unanimous decision, refused to write off McGregor's chances before Saturday's showdown and clearly had respect for the UFC star's 'special' abilities. Berto has strong connections to MMA, with his brother and sister both competitors in the sport, while even his father fought at UFC 10.

AMIR KHAN (7/1)

Ahead of the fight, Khan said "boxing will be over" if McGregor won. He also said, in the event of a McGregor victory, "I'd even go to Ireland and fight him there". McGregor lost, but will Khan still fancy it?

CANELO ALVAREZ (10/1)

Canelo was asked if he'd consider fighting McGregor and was quoted as saying by FanSided: "If that miracle was to happen, then we have a conversation. If that miracle were to happen, but I doubt it very much that Conor beats Floyd." The miracle didn't happen, but did the way McGregor perform - not to mention the amount of money that was made - give the Mexican food for thought?

KELL BROOK (16/1)

Brook, like Khan, has wanted the biggest names in the welterweight division. Like Khan, he never faced Mayweather or Manny Pacquiao. He stepped up to face Gennady Golovkin at middleweight and lost, bravely, before doing so to Errol Spence back at welter. He is at a career crossroads, but would he fancy McGregor?

ERROL SPENCE JR (16/1)

The 27-year-old American is already fulfilling his potential as one of boxing's rising stars having extended his unbeaten run of 22 wins with victory over Kell Brook last time out and a fight against McGregor would no doubt give his name a huge push.

LIAM SMITH (20/1)

One of the four Smith brothers, all professionals, Liam Smith was the WBO light-middleweight champion in 2015 and 2016. He will have a rematch with fellow Brit Liam Williams in Newcastle in October, having beaten him earlier in the year when Williams – ahead of the cards – suffered an eye injury. If he loses the rematch, could he look at Conor?

MANNY PACQUIAO (20/1)

Such a fight would bring huge worldwide attention to rival McGregor's first foray into boxing and Pacquiao may feel pressured to prove a point after post-fight statistics showed that the Irishman landed more punches on Mayweather than the Filipino managed during his 2015 defeat.

MIGUEL COTTO (20/1)

Cotto's latest world title triumph on Saturday night - two years after he last stepped foot in the ring - almost went unnoticed for obvious reasons but afterwards he admitted he plans to have one more fight in December before retiring. If it's against McGregor then that'll at least ensure people tune in!
