Brook vs Spence Jr: Amir Khan believes a fight against Kell Brook could be staged at Wembley

Amir Khan insists he and Kell Brook could attract a capacity crowd to Wembley Stadium.

IBF welterweight champion Brook is first expecting a sell-out crowd of 27,000 at Sheffield's Bramall Lane for his title defence against Errol Spence Jr on Saturday, live on Sky Sports Box Office.

But Khan believes the 90,000 capacity at Wembley that set a post-war record to watch Anthony Joshua vs Wladimir Klitschko could be replicated if he were to meet Brook at the national stadium.

"There are very few fighters from this country that could fill Wembley, and I'm definitely one of them," Khan exclusively told Sky Sports. "Kell Brook would be a fight that everyone wants to see.

"I've been selling out arenas since I was 21-years-old when I first started topping bills. I was a pay-per-view fighter when I was 20."

Asked about his remaining career goals, Khan said: "Come back to Britain, put on a big show, and beat someone like Kell in a rivalry fight. Who is No 1 in the division in the UK? People don't know who to pick, so let's prove it."

Khan and Brook's most recent negotiations to agree a fight fell apart in January, leading Brook to instead pursue a title defence against his mandatory challenger Spence Jr.

The American challenger has been finalising his preparations for this weekend's fight at the Lancashire gym owned by Khan, who hasn't boxed in a year since losing to Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez.
