Veteran Roy Jones Jr beats Bobby Gunn in latest fight

Boxing legend Roy Jones Jr proved too strong for Bobby Gunn when the pair clashed for the vacant WBF world cruiserweight title in Delaware on Friday night.

Veteran Jones, winner of 49 of his first 50 professional fights, outclassed bare knuckle fighter Gunn, securing victory at the start of the eighth round.

The 48-year-old (65-9, 47 KOs) produced a vintage display prompting the referee to stop the fight seven seconds into the eighth round as Gunn, 43, struggled with a nose injury.

Jones Jr taunted Gunn throughout the fight landing a series of jabs and rarely looked troubled.

He continued to dominate and a three-punch combination inflicted the damage and Gunn never recovered leaving the referee with no option but to stop the fight.
