Chris Eubank Jr has called out Tony Bellew for a fight at catchweight following an escalating war of words on Twitter.
The row started when Bellew, during a video interview with Sky Bet, claimed the IBO super-middleweight belt that Eubank Jr won from Renold Quinlan wasn't a true world title.
The 34-year-old from Liverpool, who recently claimed a memorable victory over David Haye at heavyweight, said: "He's conned everyone to be honest with you with that last fight. I have seen better belts sold in Matalan, if I'm being totally honest. Don't pretend to be a world champion.
"It is nothing worth pretending to be. I think he is a good fighter. I do think the boy can fight. Boxer? Not really, no. But as a fighter, great on the inside, solid all round on there, mixing it up. I think he will lose when it comes to a talented boxer as he has already has done when he came to Billy Joe Saunders.
"He was beaten by Billy Joe Saunders once and I believe he will be beaten once again."
During the interview, Bellew also mocked Haye, who tore his Achilles in the first half of their fight at London's O2 before his corner threw in the towel late on.
He added: "I hope he enjoyed that stint in Miami with the playboy on the Jetskis because it worked out it didn't work out at all didn't it lads. So enjoy that one."
Eubank Jr quickly responded via his Twitter account, saying: "Don't get too brave mate. It took you six rounds to beat a man with one leg. David's injury made the fight even." He added the hashtag #CouldntBoxEggs.
Bellew replied: "(That's) the same man who said he'd leave me asleep within two rounds and put me in hospital. As for your IBO? Next have got more prestigious belts.
"No one is laughing at me cos I'm a real world champion! Unlike you. You keep calling GGG (Gennady Golovkin) and losing your bottle at last minute."
Eubank Jr's next tweet read: "Everyone knows without that injury you would've got banged. Rematch or come down to super-middle & I'll show you what boxing is about" before later adding: "Me and you at a catchweight then my pen's ready."
Bellew ridiculed that suggestion, and it would appear unlikely such a bout would happen, with his promoter Eddie Hearn focused instead on a rematch with Haye or clashes with the likes of Joseph Parker, Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury.
