Verdict

An intriguing renewal of the Bobbyjo Chase, a race Willie Mullins has won five times in the last seven runnings. The Closutton supremo saddles Bellshill here and he is much-respected on his first start since last season's RSA Chase (third) at Cheltenham. He's likely to be short enough in the betting on his first start in a competitive heat and, for that reason, is opposed with MALA BEACH. The Troytown winner didn't fire in the Irish Gold Cup last time but surely wasn't himself there. With his trainer in excellent form, he can bounce back to win this. A Genie In Abottle is another likely to produce an improved effort now returned to a smaller field while Val De Ferbet has form in the book to stand him in good stead at his best.
