Rattled off an all-weather hat-trick during the first half of 2025 and almost off the mark for the year when a nose-second at Hamilton in July. Could never land a blow in the Stewards' Cup a month ago but this is a shade easier.
Returned to form from out of the blue when taking 22-runner handicap at Doncaster (6f, heavy) in November. Promise initially this spring, posting an excellent fourth in Victoria Cup over 7f here but has gone off the boil since.
Enjoyed a fine 2024 when a two-time 6f scorer for Richard Fahey before signing off with a victory in Group 3 at Al Uqda (7f) for his new yard. Shaped as if retaining ability after 19-month absence when second of 6 in handicap at Pontefract in July before finding the Stewards' Cup too taxing.
Bounced back to form to bag 16-runner handicap at Newbury (6f) in April and ran at least as well when second of 14 back there a month later. Eased off as though amiss at York in June and not seen since.
Showed improved form when scoring at Lingfield/Newcastle first 2 starts this year. Back at that level when second behind an improving 3-y-o over C&D and better than the result in Great St Wilfrid at Ripon last time. Has to be taken very seriously eased 1 lb.
Won 2 of first 3 starts last year, including the Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot. Hasn't kicked on from a positive start in handicaps this season, running a shocker on first start after a gelding operation at the Shergar Cup meeting latest. Blinkers/tongue tie reached for.
Made a successful debut at Windsor in June 2025 and got back on track when runner-up on final 2 outings that year. Gelded since last seen but returns in a pretty deep race. Market may guide.
Rapidly progressive on all-weather, completing 5-timer when comfortably seeing off 13 rivals at Newcastle on Good Friday. Failed to transfer that back to turf at York and then readily brushed aside back at Newcastle in June. Off since.
Responded well to get up late in 12-runner handicap at Windsor in June. Never a factor over C&D next time but right back on his game returned to aforementioned track when second 4 weeks ago. Cheekpieces now fitted.
All the rage in the betting and snapped a losing sequence dating back to 2024 in the Grey Horse Handicap at Newmarket 3 weeks ago. 5 lb rise fair enough but he's not a prolific scorer and this is a step up in class.
Can be temperamental but he stepped up on his stable debut/reappearance when ¾-length third of 20 at York. 3 good efforts out of 4 since, coping well with 6f for the first time in his career when second at Newmarket 2 weeks ago.
Formerly smart sprinter who showed more encouragement after a breathing operation and stable switch when second on C&D reappearance in May. Hasn't built on that in 3 starts since, however. Cheekpieces replace blinkers.
Free-going sort who took advantage of a much-reduced mark on just third run for current stable at Newmarket last month. Shaped as though still in good form both starts at that venue since but this a deeper race and he's 6 lb out of the handicap.
Landed a gamble on final start for Thomas Faulkner at Chepstow (7f) in May and knocking on the door in refitted visor for present stable, runner-up on last 3 starts. Will do very well to add to that sequence from 9 lb "wrong" here, though.

Diligently (10/3), Golden Long (4/1), Havana Blue (11/2), Northcliff (6/1), Sword (6/1), Fast Track Harry (15/2), American Gulf (15/2), Saint Lawrence (12/1), Havana Hurricane (12/1), Fifty Nifty (16/1), Mirabeau (20/1), Ferrous (25/1), Garfield Shadow (25/1), Al Najashi (25/1), Golden Mind (66/1)
GOLDEN LONG has already had a fine 2026 upon his transfer from Hong Kong and given he was value for extra over the winning distance at Doncaster 3 weeks ago, a further 4 lb rise may well be within range. Clive Cox has a couple of interesting contenders in Fast Track Harry and Diligently, with Sword also of some interest.
