Borders Growers & Distillers Handicap Hurdle

Landed a hurdles double on his only previous start over this C&D and bagged a third career win over fences at Sedgefield in February. Put a couple of tame finishes behind him when runner-up at Hexham last time, and with that form working out well, he merits serious consideration.

Hasn't won since January 2024 but she did chase home an unexposed one at Ludlow/finish runner-up in a conditions hurdle at Fontainebleau, prior to overdoing things on the front end at Warwick in late-March.

Strong-travelling sort who finished runner-up behind Impero at this meeting 12 months ago before making all to double his career tally at Perth. Probably still regaining his fitness in a couple of starts on the Flat last month but will need to pull out more back over hurdles.

Lost his way after hitting the frame in a novice/maiden at the end of last year and hasn't fared any better in handicaps following a breathing operation, for all was unproven on the soft ground he faced when a well-held fourth of 9 at Hexham last time.

Overcame a late scare to end a long losing run at Sedgefield before shaping as if still in good form (traded at short odds in running) when second at Hexham, making up plenty of ground on the front-running winner and pulling clear of the rest. He's still well treated and can resume winning ways.

Hasn't won since his sole hurdle success at Hexham in 2023 but that's reflected in his mark, and he was well-backed when ridden inefficiently (found to have bled) at Carlisle in mid-March.

Maiden has gone backwards from a creditable handicap debut, running poorly under a change of tactics here (18f) last time.

Fair bumper performer showed more than previously in handicaps when fourth in a race run to suit at Hexham (2m), but that form is hardly robust, and she's since been pulled up over the same C&D.

Showed nothing in 2 starts over hurdles for Andrew Hamilton earlier this year and has rejoined the yard, following an uninspiring spin on the Flat for R. Mike Smith.
