Sky Sports Racing Virgin 519 Novices' Hurdle (GBB Race)

Useful dual bumper scorer who has taken well to hurdling, building on opening Warwick second when going one better at Uttoxeter (2m, heavy) last month. Had a bit in hand and looks capable of better again. Engaged 1.45 Chepstow Sunday.

Placed both outings in bumpers and made a winning start over hurdles in 14-runner maiden at Fontwell in November, not always foot-perfect but well on top at the finish. Perhaps stretched by 20.5f at Newbury later that month so better expected returned to 2m.

:£100,000 Irish point winner who came in an encouraging second of 12 in bumper at Worcester in October. Quickened nicely to go one place better switched to hurdling a month later and he's expected to build on that.

Shaped well when third of 7 in Fos Las bumper on debut in November 2024 but well held in a stronger race at Cheltenham 11 months later and same story sent hurdling last month.

Flat-bred gelding overcame inexperience to make a winning bumper debut at Huntingdon last November, beating a fair sort. Offered little on Flat debut at Chelmsford 5 months later and having left Chris Gordon, he offered little on November's debut over obstacles.

Fairly useful handicapper on Flat (stays 1¾m), not lacking for stamina when winning at Haydock in September. Run best excused next time but could hardly have shown less sent hurdling at Fakenham recently.

€8,000 3-y-o, Crystal Ocean gelding. Dam, fairly useful 2m hurdle winner (stayed 2½m), also 1½m-2m winner on Flat. Inexpensive purchase and went with no promise on October's debut at Fontwell.

Second on bumper debut in March but comfortably held in another bumper and both hurdles starts since.

Ex-French mare who scored twice over fences in 2023/24 (fair form). Exploits proved mixed over both sets of obstacles during second half of last year and acquired by new connections for €50,000 thereafter she looked in need of the run after a year off last month. Down in trip.

Fairly useful maiden at best on Flat (stays 1¾m), well held last 3 starts. Sold from Andrew Balding 6,000 gns in October and now goes hurdling.
