Zoffany filly really appreciated the stamina test when improving to win over 2m at Chepstow five days ago, carries 6lb penalty for that decisive success and has to be feared greatly.
Beaten a neck over 1m4f on penultimate start at Ripon (good; 33-1) but much less convincing since at Wolverhampton on the Tapeta over this trip (had won there before). Needs to bounce back.
Four-race maiden beaten 15L on handicap bow at Chepstow (1m4f, soft; 13-2) last month; will face an altogether different test on this forecast ground here but plenty to work on currently.
Five-race maiden offered something to work with on h'cap bow at Kempton in June but failed to build on that since at Chepstow (1m4f, soft; 6-1) in first-time cheekpieces. Must take a step forward.
Justified market support to win at Ripon (1m4f, good; 11-4) on second appearance in a h'cap last month. First-time cheekpieces worn then are dispensed with in favour of a new visor now and that form is questionable. More needed having gone up 4b.
Forecasts
Lismore (1/1), Lord Warburton (10/3), Sulochana (6/1), Nikolayeva (15/2), Russian Rumour (10/1)
This probably lies between LISMORE and Lord Warburton, both last time out winners. Sir Mark Prescott's filly had a good bit in hand at Chepstow over 2m on Saturday and likely can double-up under penalty as that form trumps that of Michael Bell's Ripon winner. Soft ground was perhaps against Sulochana on handicap bow at Chepstow last month and she may do better here.
- Lismore
- Lord Warburton
- Sulochana
