Consistent; found the step into Class 3 company beyond his reach when fifth of eight to Country at Newmarket (1m4f, good to soft) latest; was beaten a short-head from this mark on his penultimate start; one to consider.
Finished a keeping on third to Nicholas T in a Class 2 handicap at Ayr (1m2f, good) last month; has operated at a broadly similar level when fifth of ten to the comfortable winner Cape Cavalli at York since.
Often starts slowly; caught the eye (repeatedly denied a clear run) when finishing 1¼L third to a stablemate of Matewan (Heart Of Soul) at Hamilton (1m5f, good to soft) latest; feasibly handicapped, with Paul Mulrennan a positive jockey booking.
Dual course winner (7f-1m) for Richard Fahey; has failed to shine, either over hurdles or on the Flat, so far in 2020 - sent off at 150-1 at York latest; thought highly unlikely to play any form of constructive role.
Five-time winner for Shaun Keightley, including from a 23lb lower mark over C&D (soft) last August; absent since the winning spell came to an abrupt end at Wolverhampton 280-days ago; first start for Richard Guest (also saddles Outlaw Torn).
Commanding 11L winner of a 1m4f claiming handicap on Fibresand at Pornichet-La Baule in January; switches back to turf (0-8) on first start for the Catterick-handler Phil Kirby (ex Eoghan O'Neill).
Ready winner (under a penalty) at Haydock (1m2½f, soft) four weeks ago; Danny Tudhope returns to the saddle (aboard previously at Redcar) as this progressive 3yo seeks the hat-trick, albeit from an ever-rising handicap mark - 6lb higher.
Lightly-raced Camelot gelding (cost 75,000gns as a yearling); caught the eye when finishing 3½L fourth to Night Bear in a Class 5 contest at Redcar (1m2f) last month; is bred to stay (half-brother to Hawk High); noteworthy for the future.
Boasts 19 career wins, but is on a long losing streak dating back to March 2018 (Chelmsford); is set to make his 199th start off a 339-day absence; trainer Richard Guest also saddles the more appealing Trouble Shooter; safer to look elsewhere.

The longest race on tonight's Thirsk card is arguably one of the most interesting, with the progressive three-year-old King's Charisma seeking a hat-trick of wins for David O'Meara. Nevertheless, on paper this appears to be an extremely competitive affair, in which the likes of Matewan, Make Haste Slowly, and the lightly-raced Camelot colt Camahawk also tick plenty of the required boxes. However, preference is for the soft-ground proven duo Jackamundo (sports a first-time tongue-tie) and the recent Hamilton eye-catcher THE NAVIGATOR. The booking of Paul Mulrennan is considered to be a major plus for the selection.
