Lope De Vega colt, cost 150,000 gns as a yearling. Half-brother to Racing Post Trophy winner Marcel. Impressive winning on 2018 debut and then fifth in Craven Stakes. Second to clear winner on AW return and can make his mark now on handicap debut.
Veteran has presumably had issues with three poor runs following a 259-day absence and now returning from another 469-days off. Best watched on return and stable debut.
Now 2lb lower than a good Newmarket win early last year but lost his way subsequently for Clive Cox. Others look more reliable on season and stable debut.
Still a maiden after two starts for new yard and eight for Jessica Harrington. Beaten favourite in a maiden latest but suited by return to this trip and a clear hope if finding form of last year's second at Doncaster.
Dual-performer won in the snow at St. Moritz before struggling there in Group 2 company. On a fair mark back in the UK and as a former C&D runner-up could be competitive.
Five-race maiden had been knocking on the door before a poor run at Ffos Las. Unsuited by soft ground so could bounce back but needs to see out the trip better. In-form stable also runs Escapability.
Infrequent winner but sprang a surprise in the Spring Mile last March. Not disgraced in recent starts and well handicapped but trip poses a question. Any rain would be a plus.
Returned from a long absence to make-all at Epsom on handicap debut before disappointing when well backed at Brighton. Fast ground may have played a factor and leading jockey has kept the faith. Not one to give up on yet.
Four-race maiden looked still in need of experience when slowly away and staying on too late on handicap debut at Kempton. Drop in trip a question but likely to have a future once the penny drops.
Forecasts
Just Brilliant (9/4), Escapability (3/1), He's Amazing (5/1), Allegiant (5/1), New Agenda (12/1), High Acclaim (14/1), Junderstand (14/1), Follow Intello (20/1), Perfect Cracker (50/1)
Just Brilliant was well tried last year and then ran into a smart sort on his return. He will be popular on handicap debut in a open looking race. The longer trip didn't suit ESCAPABILITY and he's worth another chance off this mark for a stable going so well. Allegiant will be of interest should the money come again.
- Escapability
- Just Brilliant
- Allegiant
